The Barbaresco Giacone MARNE BIANCHE is the result of several years of experimentation in the vineyard and in the cellar. The grapes come from the highest part of our old vineyard, right at the top of the hill, where geologically the marls are closer to the surface. The grapes, once in the cellar, are gently pressed and fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with daily pump-overs for 30 days. After racking, the wine is placed in large Slavonian oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation takes place. After aging in wood for 12 months, the wine is further aged in mixed ceramic tanks (Clyver) for 12 months, then bottled and released for sale 4 years after the harvest. The color is a deep garnet red, the nose is austere and complex. It can definitely be defined as a wine for aging.

They can be defined as a possibility to indicate more restricted areas within the same Denomination. In our area, that of Barbaresco, there are 66 Mentions, including Giacone, where our company is located. In the Barolo area, there has long been talk of the so-called "subzones", but these can only be regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture if they are sufficiently large, with several producers and if they have characteristics that are significantly different from the overall area. Improperly, we could say that the "subzones" were created when the Nebbiolo of Piedmont was divided among Gattinara, Barolo, Barbaresco, Ghemme, Lessona, and so on. In Piedmont hill viticulture, the type of soil has always been very significant, as well as the "position" of the vineyard, that is, its exposure. The combination of various elements has allowed to define some of the most important names of Cascina or Vineyard since the times of Vignolo-Lutati and subsequently with Renato Ratti, leading to Carlo Petrini's Atlas of the Vineyards of Langa.
